FIM ASIAN MOTORCYCLE ACADEMY

In our efforts to continuously seek ways to address the needs and wants of our members along the line of motorcycle sports and safety, we wish to inform everyone that we will soon be launching the FIM Asian Motorcycle Academy (FAMA).

The FAMA was conceptualized with our member federations in mind and guided by our vision of providing them with an institution which shall keep them constantly informed and abreast of the latest concepts and developments in motorcycling.

Considering the economic and logistical limitations posed by sending delegates to seminars and training sessions abroad, we have designed an educational system called the “Train the Trainer Program” where the UAM will bring the trainers closer to their intended targets thereby entailing minimal costs for the federation and creating their own small academies after our trainers have trained the professors’ locally. The FMN / UAM may provide diploma certificates post these sessions. Also, if one FMN is hosting a seminar notices will be given so regional and neighboring UAM Members may participate.

Training programs shall be held along the following motorcycling concerns:

1. On Road Racing (thru MFJ by Ex Moto GP Rider)
2. Off Road Racing (thru MFJ) and Enduro Training (thru FIM Sports Director)
3. Road Safety (FMSCT Thailand)
4. Mechanics Course (MFJ)
5. Technical Inspection of Race Machines (Australian Technical Representative)
6. On and Off Road Officials Seminar (TBA)

Seminars under the FAMA will be carried out under the following conditions:

1. Host federation to shoulder the air-ticket and land arrangement plus minimal daily allowance of the Trainer.
2. Hotel accommodations and all land arrangements should be supplied by the host FMNR
3. Federations will be given the option to charge a reasonable fee to cover costs on their judgement.

For your information and guidance, comments, suggestions.
